Founded in 1999, Merk Construction set out to build a reputation as a solid company to do business with. During his experiences as a field supervisor and project manager, founder and president, and Veteran Mike Riehl identified several problem areas the construction industry.

He began Merk Construction with the idea of providing an alternative to the typical contractor experience. The vague billing of most construction companies was the catalyst to develop the "Open Book Policy."
